Weekend Spotlight: All-Theater Edition!

'Footloose' is being performed this weekend at Aurora's Paramount Theatre.AURORA: The Fox Valley Park District's Summer Stage production is "Footloose," based on the 1984 film. It's being performed at the beautiful Paramount Theatre in downtown Aurora. Shows are Friday at 7 p.m, Saturday at 7 p.m and Sunday at 7 p.m. Tickets range from $7 to $13. OSWEGO: The Limelight Theater Company is performing "Beauty and the Beast," this weekend at Plank Junior High in Oswego. Shows are scheduled for Friday and Saturday nights at 7 p.m. Tickets are $7 for adults, $5 for students/seniors and will be available at the door.
ST. CHARLES: Steel Beam Theatre is presenting "Seussical Jr." this weekend and next in St. Charles. Show times are Fridays at 7:30 p.m., Saturdays at 10:30 a.m., 1 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. and Sundays at 1 p.m. You can purchase tickets online or by calling 630-587-8521.
MAPLE PARK: The Kaneland Community Fine Arst Festival is presenting Rodgers & Hammerstein's musical version of "Cinderella" this weekend at Kaneland High School. Shows are Friday at 7 p.m., Saturday at 7 p.m. and Sunday at 2 p.m. You can buy individual tickets, but the best bet is a $25 family ticket good for all members of a household.
ELGIN: The Elgin Community College Musical Theatre Department will perform "You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown," on Fridays and Saturdays at 7:30 p.m. and Sundays at 3 p.m. through Aug. 5. Shows are at the Second Space Theatre. Tickets are $20 for adults, $18 for students/seniors and $12 for children 12 and under. They can be purchased online.
