The show is being presented by the the Kaneland Community Fine Arts Festival, which brings a number of events to the Kaneland community each year, including its annual showpiece festival, which is held each spring.
Wrapping up the 2011-12 performance series is a production of Rodgers & Hammsterstein's "Cinderella." The remaning performances are Friday, July 20, at 7 p.m., Saturday, July 21 at 7 p.m. and Sunday, July 22, at 2 p.m. at Kaneland High School at 47W326 Keslinger Road in Maple Park.
The 65 members of the cast, crew, production team and orchestra come from the Chicago suburbs, as far away as Elburn and Sandwich. For some of the performers, "Cinderella" is their first time on stage; others have been acting for more than 30 years.
Rodgers and Hammerstein's "Cinderella" was originally written for television and aired on March 30, 1957, starring Julie Andrews. The stage show is appropriate for all ages and features a familiar storyline and timeless music. Guests are invited to create wands and crowns before and after the shows, and patrons can have their pictures taken with members of the cast for a small donation.
Tickets are reasonably priced, too: $10 each for adults, $8 for students/senior citzens. But even better is the $25 "Family Ticket" that allows all the members of a family living in one houshold to admitted for the price of $25.
You can buy tickets online by clicking here, or there will be tickets available at the door, as well. The box office will open one hour before showtime.
Now for the giveaway: The Kaneland Community Fine Arts Festival will award one lucky Go West reader four tickets to see the show at one of the remaining three performances.
All you have to do is answer the following question in the comments section below: What is one of your child's or children's favorite fairytales or fables?
Here’s the fine print: No purchase necessary. Offer subject to availability. Offer does not apply to previously purchased tickets. Promotion cannot be combined with any other offer. Only one entry per person. Tickets are not transferable.
Contest will end at 10 p.m. Central time on Wednesday, July 18. Winner will be picked at random by random.org. Open to U.S. residents 18 and older. Tickets will be picked up at the box office window. Prize is valued at a minimum of $25.

I'll be getting in touch to let you know about getting your tickets. Thanks to everyone who entered, and to the Kaneland Community Fine Arts Festival for making this possible.
