Fall Guide 2012: Downtown and Business District Trick-or-Treat Events

I'll publish a list of the official trick-or-treating hours for area suburbs later this week, but a number of towns also host events in their business districts. Know of an event I missed here? Please share it in the comments section! This list is in chronological order:

DOWNTOWN GENEVA: The businesses of downtown Geneva along Third and State streets will welcome trick-or-treaters on Thursday, Oct. 25, from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m.  Look for a "Trick or Treat" sign in the window of participating shops.

WEST CHICAGO LIBRARY: The West Chicago Public Library is hosting a "Haunted Forest" on Saturday, Oct. 27, from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. Little ghosts and goblins ages 3 to 12 are invited to walk through a forest filled with thrills and chills and receive a special treat. THE CENTRE IN ELGIN: The 26th annual Sherman Health Halloween Family Fun Fair is Saturday, Oct. 27, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Centre of Elgin in downtown. There will also be a fire truck, police car and ambulance to tour.

Check out the Yorkville Chamber site for a detailed list of participating businesses, along with their locations. There will also be a "Touch-a-Truck" opportunity on Saturday, Oct. 27, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m at the Old Second National Bank, 26 W. Countryside Parkway.
